Product Overview
This self-paced course explores the physiologic concept of oxygenation, including how it is achieved in the body through respiration, ventilation and perfusion as well as how to measure it effectively with pulse oximetry (SpO2) and end-tidal carbon dioxide (EtCO2) monitoring. Check-Your-Knowledge questions and clinical-based scenarios are presented to enhance the learning experience. The course ends with a fun game to promote learning retention. By the end of this program, the participant should be able to: Discuss the basic physiology and principles of pulse oximetry (SpO2) Identify various sensor placements used in monitoring pulse oximetry. Explain common factors that affect the pulse oximetry reading. Explain the principles of impedance respiration monitoring. Describe how impedance respiration is measured. Name factors that could affect the impedance respiration reading. Explain the basic principles of CO2 monitoring. Distinguish between sidestream and mainstream monitoring technology. Identify the characteristics of a normal capnogram. Identify factors that can change the appearance of the capnogram.
Return And Exchange
GE Healthcare will accept, for return from customer, items that are in new condition, unworn, unaltered and free of damage. Items cannot be returned or exchanged beyond 30 days from customer’s receipt of the original order and all returned items will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. To obtain a full refund or exchange of the item within the 30 day return period (subject to the 15% restocking fee) customer must request a return materials authorization (RMA) from GE Healthcare and return the item to GE Healthcare utilizing this RMA number. Items must be returned in the original packaging, unused and free of damage.
